Toronto Children’s Chorus Strategic Plan 2024-2028
Purpose
To inspire young people to flourish through the transformative power of music
Vision
To be a global leader in choral music by nurturing transformative experiences for our choristers and unity in our broader community
Mission
To develop innovative artistry, music education, and enriching performance and learning opportunities that cultivate young people’s growth

From our Artistic Director
At the Toronto Children’s Chorus, we believe that every child is an artist.
During each rehearsal and performance we explore a diverse range of music, spanning classical and contemporary works, different cultural traditions, and many languages. Our children and youth learn how to sing and read music - a joy that will last a lifetime - while also learning skills that extend far beyond the stage, including how to present themselves confidently, work as a team, and collaborate with others to achieve excellence.
We are grateful for the support from our families, Board and volunteers and the Toronto arts community as we strive to nurture each child as an artist and unlock their full potential. Together, we are building a vibrant community and nurturing artistry in Toronto. Our singers not only grow as musicians but also represent Canada on some of the world’s most prestigious stages.

Operational Efficiency
One of our priorities here is to strengthen communication strategies to effectively engage all stakeholders, including staff, choristers, donors, alumni, board members, and the broader community, fostering transparency and inclusivity.

Choral Community Building
One of our priorities here is to deepen partnerships with major local performing arts organizations. TCC regularly performs with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, including a stellar performance of Mahler’s 3rd Symphony in June 2024 with the TSO that received rave reviews. TCC performs Mahler’s Third again in 2025/2026 with the Budapest Festival Orchestra as part of the Koerner Hall season.
