Emerging Artist Program

The Toronto Children’s Chorus has developed an exciting initiative for training young choral conductors in an environment where they learn beside highly accomplished professionals. Working with children ranging in age from 5 to 16 years, this mentorship includes weekly rehearsals and frequent performances on world class stages across the country and around the world. In the summer of 2011, the TCC performed in Argentina at the 9th World Symposium on Choral Music and our Conductor’s Intern had the opportunity to perform for some of the most acclaimed professionals in the industry. Our aim is to provide meaningful developmental experiences in conducting alongside internationally trained music directors – including our own professional staff – and provide the richest musical training possible.
